PUNK AT THE PELTON
Punk at the Pelton returns for our first night of 2023 on SATURDAY 18th FEBRUARY.
Expect 3 eclectic Punk offerings with a focus on local talent and the weird and wonderful, a guest DJ and surprises galore. The dates for the next shows of the year are Saturday 17th June and Saturday 21st October and the Phobics hope to be on both bills!
First things first - Our February show showcases three PATP debutantes; headlining we give you DAMIDGE, who have been a veritable Sarf London institution since 1986 with their psychedelic voodoo punk - led by the inimitable Al Damidge and guitar stalwart Alex Pym, their line up has been hotwired by the addition of Moyni, bass meister from the Phobics and John Clifford behind the traps with a punk pedigree as long as Al’s arm and current skin hitter in P.I.G.
Dinosaur Skull will kick off proceedings and highlighting material from their recently released Grow Your Own Records LP ‘Tales from the Heath’, and this two piece, four legged, four armed male/female dynamo will entrance and charm you with their fizzing magma of crafted pop punk "life experiences and social maladies." - Cici and Michael cut their teeth in the fabulous Werecats. I’m sure they will have copies of this fine recording available on the night too!
Smack bang in the middle of the bill are those New Cross Dolls, our old pals the Cherry Reds, who have reformed specially to celebrate their 25th Anniversary, so expect some crunchy guitar slinging with more hooks than velcro - hell, they don’t even have a facebook page but we’ll dig up some gen for you soon! Let’s hope some tunage from their Boy Hero LP is present - read the review in the meantime!
Our guest DJ will be announced nearer the day.
This one is going to be a bloody banger - so stick the date in your new 2023 diary or get it tattooed on your person cos you don't wanna miss this one!

3 great bands FREE! 7 pm start - live music over by 11 pm, bar open til LATE!
