The Deptford Rivieras.
The ‘Deptford Riviera’ is the name given to the southern shore-line of the River Thames between Rotherhithe and Deptford Creek. Hailing from that zone in South East London, The Deptford Rivieras are a trio made up of Phil Veacock (Tenor Saxophone) best known as a long-time member, main arranger and musical director of Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Gary Baldwin (Hammond Organ) rated by Time Out magazine as “...the British Grand Master of the Hammond Organ” and Alan Savage (Drums) who's had a long career in both the pop and jazz/blues fields backing such names as Joe Jackson, Alison Moyet, Olivia Newton-John and Freddie Mercury. Expect funky bluesy jazzy soul and ska in the style of ’60’s Blue Note legends such as Jimmy Smith and Stanley Turrentine. 9pm.
